Biography

Veronica was born in Alice Springs and grew up in Ampilatwatja.  She went to school here and raised her family with her partner in Canteen Creek.  She learnt painting from her mother, Eileen Bonney,  who taught her to paint her grandmothers country around Canteen Creek. Veronica still visits her grandmothers country with family to hunt and collect bush tucker.    There’s lots of anthills and bush tucker including echidnas, goannas, bush honeys and yams (bush potatoes).
