I like country music, and paintings that tell a story about our life out here. My paintings are all about community and stock camp life, the horses, cattle, dogs and the music. I like to play country music on my guitar. I used to watch the old fellas mustering and breaking in horses. It was a great upbringing, disciplined and with strong family connections. Hunting was the most important thing and we had to hunt to provide for our families. There was no technology in those times.
This painting is what we do every afternoon, us men sit together and yarn, sometimes we feel good, sometimes we feel down. We like to sit together, with the old men and just be.
