Payment to Artists

Artists receive 50% of the sale price of each painting. The 50% retained by the art centre as commission is used to pay for all materials such as paint, linen, brushes, as well as artists’ workshops, artists’ travel to exhibitions as well as all the other administration costs associated with running the art centre.

Money Back Guarantee

It is very important to us that you are happy with your purchase. If not, we will fully refund you for the value of the artwork, minus the postage costs. You must notify the art centre within 3 days of receiving the painting if you are not fully satisfied. You need only pay the cost of returning the painting to the art centre. The artwork must be returned in its original condition with all of its accompanying documentation for the guarantee to apply. The cost of freight is not refunded if the art is returned.

Artwork Availability

Artists of Ampilatwatja Aboriginal Corporation works to ensure that all items for purchase on the website are available and correctly priced. Enquiries about paintings will be addressed as soon as possible to confirm availability.

Currency

All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars.

Duties and Taxes

Artists of Ampilatwatja Aboriginal Corporation sells paintings to the public on behalf of the artist on a consignment basis, therefore, paintings sold are Good and Services Tax (GST) exempt. When shipping paintings overseas, the purchaser is liable for any other duties or taxes payable specific to the country of import.

Freight Charges

Within Australia $60.00.

Overseas $90.00.

Insurance and Delivery

Please clearly nominate a delivery address.

All artworks are posted using Australia Post Registered Post or TNT unless other delivery arrangements are made with the art centre. Ampilatwatja has a mail service once a week. Every effort is made to dispatch artworks as quickly as possible, but specific delivery times cannot be guaranteed.  During the hot month of January the art centre is closed, deliveries may take up to 6 weeks.

Artists of Ampilatwatja Artists accepts the following:

  • Credit/Debit cards – Visa and MasterCard only
  • Direct bank transfer. Please ensure that the payment description includes your name and invoice number.

Paintings are posted once payment has been confirmed.

Provenance

Artists of Ampilatwatja Aboriginal Corporation guarantees all work shown is authentic Aboriginal art. Every painting is accompanied by a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity which tells the ‘story’ relating to the painting and information about the artist.

All information received from clients is strictly confidential.
